Game Studio Takes Top Prize At Game Fest 2015
The Game Studio's We Love Nuclear Armageddon won First Place at GameFest 2015, an annual regional competition hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and sponsored by Activision’s Vicarious Visions.
Congratulations to all Game Studio students and faculty for making the Game Studio 10th Anniversary an even greater success! 
This marks the fifth year in a row that Champlain’s Game Studio participated and placed in this competition.

Alumni Profile: Jennifer Barrett '08 
Jennifer Barrett '08 was recently named one of Vermont's Seven Women to Watch by Seven Days. Jennifer dreamed of becoming a prosecutor since she was a child growing up in Brattleboro, VT. "I really liked arguing, and I really liked proving my point and convincing others that my perspective was better."  Barrett studied computer and digital forensics at Champlain College, thinking the skills would come in handy in criminal investigations. FBI Director James Comey and  U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy Visit Champlain 
FBI Director James Comey toured Champlain College's Leahy Center for Digital Investigation. 
The head of the FBI used his visit to urge college students studying ways to fight cybercrime and conduct digital investigations to take their talents and training to the FBI. Watch the full press conference here. 
The "PopUp Museum” is a temporary art gallery open from April 16 thru May 15. Located just two blocks from campus in the Champlain College owned Ethan Allen Center at 298 College St, it will be home to nine exhibitions of end-of-the year student work. The gallery is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from noon-5pm. special thanks to student volunteers Zachary Sittler '15, Sarah Webb '15 and LuFei Sun '15 for  their  hard work transforming the Ethan Allen Center into a dynamic exhibition venue. Game Studio Featured in Burlington Free Press 
Champlain's Game Studio was featured on the cover of the innovate section of the Burlington Free Press on Thursday, April 23. The article highlighted this year's seniors, as well as the 10th Anniversary of the studio.  Read the full article here.
Graphic Design Senior, Mariana Herrera '15, won the Grand Prize as well as three other prizes in the Communication Design category of the Royal Society of Arts Student Design Competition at Cooper Union, NY, on March 25th. 
The Communication Design winner is awarded  a three month paid internship at Thirst in Chicago and a $1000 RSA Leadership Grant. 
Mariana is joined by Sydney Moore '15 who also took home an award. This year’s competition theme was The Air in Me is the Air in You.
Other winners include students from Savannah College of Art and Design, Cooper Union, Parsons, and Pratt. See pictures from the event here.
