Retail Pop-Ups at Dining Halls Throughout Finals Week
Some of your favorite campus spots will be popping up in our dining halls throughout finals week. Be on the lookout for visits from True Burger, Absurd Bird, Halal Shack, Chaat House, and more. Pop up locations will be shared on our Instagram page.

Teaching Kitchen Collaboration with the Global Food Institute
This fall, our culinary team has been proud to host a series of teaching kitchens with students from GW’s Global Food Institute. Led by Executive Catering Chef Jarrod, each session included a live cooking demo, hands-on student practice, and even tips on professional food photography. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and further connecting the GW community to the culinary world in a meaningful way.

Block Meal Plan Holders: Donate Unused Meal Swipes
GW has teamed up with Swipe Out Hunger, a national nonprofit organization committed to ending college student hunger, to enable GW students to donate leftover meal plan funds.
Block plan meal swipes do not roll over to future semesters. For those currently enrolled in a Block meal plan*, as you wrap up finals please consider donating any unspent meal swipes you may have.
Visit the GW Swipes Out Hunger webpage to learn more or fill out the Meal Swipes Donation Form to donate. Donations will be accepted now through Friday, Dec. 19.

*Swipes can only be donated by those enrolled in a Block meal plan. Students enrolled in the All Access, Vern All Access, or Revolutionary 85 meal plans are not eligible to donate swipes.

Changing Your Meal Plan for Spring 2026
The deadline to change your meal plan selection for next semester is Monday, Jan. 19, 2026. If you believe that another meal plan (available to your class year) would better fit your schedule and eating habits, submit a change request before then. Individuals are only eligible to submit one change request per semester, so please do not submit a change request until you are certain of your new selection.

GW Dining concepts in District House and University Student Center will close at 6 pm in preparation for Midnight Breakfast.

- Friday, Dec. 12 - Thursday, Dec. 18: GW Dining will adjust hours or close some locations. View specific locations’ last day of service below.
- Friday, Dec. 19: Last day of service for all remaining locations.

Saturday, Dec. 20: All GW Dining locations will be closed until next semester.

Dark chocolate can sweeten your mood while keeping things deliciously balanced. Plus, those minerals - magnesium and zinc - aren’t just fun to say; they also help boost immunity and can even support better sleep.
