Pool Renovation Update: Hot Tubs and Lap Lanes are now closed
In previous communications, demolition for the hot tubs and lap lanes portion of the pool renovation project was expected to begin March 2. As a result, the hot tubs and lap lanes were anticipated to close at that time, for the remaining of the pool project, with reopening dates of June 10 for the recreational pool and July 7 for the lap lanes.

The project schedule has been adjusted to allow demolition to begin earlier than originally planned. As a result, the hot tubs and lap lanes have now closed, approximately two weeks earlier than anticipated.

Starting demolition sooner gives the project team an opportunity to take advantage of favorable conditions and potentially move the overall schedule forward if circumstances allow. Additionally, this adjustment means the lap lanes are now expected to be completed closer to the recreational pool opening date, rather than extending into July.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to complete these improvements as efficiently as possible and will continue to share updates as the project progresses.

A new feature is now live on the RVR website! Homeowners can check the site at any time to see whether the mail trailer is locked (during delivery) or unlocked and accessible—so you’ll know the status before heading over.

Even though February may feel early, now is the ideal time to start planning your spring and summer exterior home improvement projects. Submitting applications early helps ensure there is ample time for review and approval before the busy construction season begins.

Many improvements may be eligible for approval through a simple Administrative Approval process, while more complex projects may require formal review by the Design Review Committee. Regardless of project scope, homeowners are required to complete and submit a Home Improvement Application for approval before beginning any work.

At the January RVRMA board meeting, the Board of Directors discussed a proposed amendment to the Painting Contract Inclusion Policy for Block F (Old Town) and Block A (The Settlement).

The Old Town Advisory Committee requested the removal of the obligation to fund a $750 siding repair allowance requirement, while The Settlement’s policy was revised for clarity and retains the allowance.

The draft policy has been available on the RVRMA website homepage. Questions or feedback may be directed to Ashley Lynch at ashley.lynch@rvrma.org who can share all communications with the Executive Board of Directors.

 The board will vote on the amended policy at its March meeting.

The Town of Carbondale is using new, advanced wildfire modeling to better understand how wildfire could spread through our community and how to reduce risk. To make the modeling as accurate as possible, residents are asked to complete a quick, voluntary home survey. The Roaring Fork High School River Ecology class will be conducting a site visit on February 24 & 26 for data collection at Riverfront Park. Colorado Parks & Wildlife and the Town have allowed them to enter the closed area for this purpose, and they have the combination to the main gate lock and will lock it up after their use.
