Principal Investigators (PIs) please be mindful of tracking budgets, in order to avoid over or under spending. The Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) Maple team is back to full staffing levels and will be able to respond to requests for budget updates. If you need a review of your actual and projected spending against your project budget, please reach out to your Department Research Assistant (DRA). In parallel, RGS is revising the automated monthly budget projections to make them more readable and pursuing funding for a fundamental process analysis and re-design. In the meantime, please refer to this advice on how to read the monthly reports and track your budget. Also, reach out to the Associate Director of Research (ADR) if you have particularly tricky projects or multiple projects. Miranda Morgan (Research Project Coordinator) will also be supporting these cases.
