The Center for Student Engagement invites you/your department to submit your events for Welcome Week (AKA Best Week Ever) 2026 from today, July 14th through July 29th at 2 pm. Here's what you need to know:
What is Welcome Week?
Welcome Week is our time to welcome all new students (including first years, international students and transfers) into the Hawk family! For the first week of the semester, the Center for Student Engagement runs programming with partners cross-campus to allow students to get acclimated to New Paltz, meet others, and find out pertinent information from departments across campus.
I thought I already submitted an event - has that been noted?
Unfortunately, the last Welcome Week form data previously received is no longer available, and all departments are asked to resubmit their events. You do not need to resubmit an event if you have received an email from either Ariana Carbonaro or Sharlise Smith-Rodriguez confirming your event details have been submitted. We apologize for this inconvienece!
Does this form confirm my reservation is complete?
No, this form only confirms that your event will be included in our marketing material (email blasts, physical and virtual booklets, and on our student club and organization platform) and be a part of the official welcome week programming. You will still need to submit a digital FUSE form, andrequest any event needs through the Facilities work order form.
Can I make changes to my event?
We ask that all events are submitted by July 29th at 2 pm to be added to our marketing material; however, we know changes can happen! We ask all changes be emailed to carbonaa@newpaltz.edu by Wednesday August 3rd, to guarantee changes will be confirmed. Any event changes after August 3rd would be the department/event holders responsibility to relay important information.
