Granzow, Brentwood take Battle of the Woods in OT
By Charles Pulliam • Multimedia Reporter
BRENTWOOD – Cade Granzow rushed for three touchdowns and threw another, Brentwood’s defense forced four turnovers and the Bruins claimed a third consecutive regular season ‘Battle of the Woods’ victory with a 28-21 overtime win at Ravenwood High School Friday off Wilson Pike.
Brentwood’s offensive line produced one final push and Granzow scored his fourth touchdown by plowing in for a 1-yard TD in overtime. The home team nearly answered, but James Lowe tipped a pass at the line of scrimmage for the Bruins and a floating ball gathered by Ravenwood’s Ross Johnston in the endzone was ruled incomplete on fourth down to end the latest chapter of the rivalry.

NASHVILLE – The Brentwood Academy football team is back.
And as the old saying goes — this time, it’s personal.
After missing the playoffs last year for the first time since 1998, the Eagles seem to be playing with a sizable chip on their shoulder this season. They’ve reached the midway mark of their schedule with a perfect 5-0 record after posting a 34-21 victory over a talented and gutsy Father Ryan team on Friday night.
