It’s a big week for our community and our country. As we kick off the spring semester tomorrow, we know that many of you have already been working hard to prepare for a safe start. Thank you to those students who have submitted their COVID test results. Remember that you cannot come to campus until you submit your results on the portal.

In addition to getting tested before you arrived, you can also take advantage of the free PCR COVID testing available this Friday, January 22 from 9 – 5 p.m. in Mercy Hall. Testing is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Loyola ID required.

A few testing do’s and don’ts to keep in mind:

DO self-isolate in the time from when you get tested until you receive your test results. Opt for grab and go food options that you can eat at home and be extra vigilant about keeping your distance and avoiding groups.

DON’T go to Mercy Hall for free testing if you are feeling symptoms of COVID-19. Instead, you should call Student Health Services at 504.865.3326 or contact your healthcare provider for guidance. The Ochsner COVID-19 Info Hotline is still available 24/7 at 844.888.2772 for support.

DO get tested if you have traveled from outside of New Orleans since your first test or have been in close contact with others outside your household. A second COVID test is an additional safeguard to help keep our campus community protected.
