A Preview of the 2024 Annual Pledge Campaign
Annual pledge letters are arriving in homes asking you to let the vestry, clergy, and staff know your plans to support Christ Church's day-to-day expenses during 2024.
Growing engagement and activity at Christ Church along with broadening adoption of the habit of annual pledging provide optimism that the number of pledgers and amounts committed will continue upward trends.  Early action by regular pledge-makers and increased generosity (to match ever-increasing costs) are priorities this year.
To ease the workload on Stewardship Committee volunteers and parish staff, letters are being mailed in two phases.  If your letter has not yet arrived, look for it during the first week or ten days of October.

Key Events and Dates
The now-traditional weekly update on pledge campaign progress, thoughts from fellow parishioners about stewardship, and insight into CCG finances and operations will begin next Thursday.  If you wish to contribute your own “Personal Perspective on Stewardship,” please contact us at StewardshipCommittee@ChristChurchGeorgetown.org.
On Sunday, October 1, the Treasurer, Chad Thorley, will offer a 30-minute presentation and Q&A on the basics of parish management and governance, key sources of revenue (including the endowment) and expense areas, and the critical roles of volunteers.  For more information about “CCG Basics”, please check yesterday’s weekly parish-wide e-mail.
Invitations to Rectory Receptions in late October are being sent by e-mail.  Please check the new online directory at www.ChristChurchGeorgetown.org or call the Parish Office to be sure we have an up-to-date e-address for you.
