| Hi ,
Midterms are right around the corner, and we want to ensure you know how to connect with campus resources if you're concerned and need support. As you begin receiving the results of your midterm grades, keep in mind that midterm grades are preliminary and can be improved.
You can use NTC’s academic success resources such as Peer Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, Success Coaching (& Peer Success Leaders), and the NTC Learning Toolkit, which are available to help you meet your goals. We also encourage you to visit your faculty’s office hours, located on your course syllabus, to seek advice and discuss class resources.

If you’d like to meet with an advisor to discuss, please make an appointment. You can review resources and options with your First-Year College Advisor, including the possibility of dropping a course or changing the grade type to S/U. Keep in mind that the deadline for these actions is Monday, October 23.

Looking for a new connection on campus? Want to make a new friend with similar interests? Sign up for Future Friends!
Facilitated by the Office of First-Year Experience, Future Friends is a friendship matchmaking service available to all students. During each semester, students will fill out a short survey with their interests and be matched with another student who could be a “future friend.” Pairs of students will be encouraged to connect with each other after being introduced via a matching email. More information about the matching process can be found here!
All students will receive a weekly email offering suggestions for activities to do with their potential new friends and check-in questions, as needed. Additionally, there will be a select number of events hosted throughout the year for Future Friends participants!
