Baylor Law School Names Elizabeth Fraley, JD ‘88,
as Practice Court Director |
Elizabeth Fraley, the Gerald Reading Powell Chair in Advocacy, will serve as the Director of Practice Court beginning in February of 2025. Fraley will succeed Jim Wren, the Leon Jaworski Chair of Practice and Procedure, when Wren steps away from full-time teaching next year after nearly two decades of outstanding service on the Practice Court faculty.

Baylor Law School Veterans Clinic Named Advocates of the Year |
The Baylor Law School Veterans Clinic honored Jessenia Ruiz, JD '21 and Krupali Patel with the 2024 Advocate of the Year Awards at a Waco-McLennan County Bar Association luncheon on November 8.
The award recognizes dedicated lawyers who serve Central Texas veterans and their families with free legal services via the clinic each year.

Recipients are chosen based on several criteria, including the nominee’s legal skills and achievements, their contributions to the legal profession, their reputation within the field, Christian character, civic and religious involvement, and their active interest in Baylor Law School.
