| In Case You Missed It: A Review of the Council's 2020-2021 Research and Resources
| |
The staff members of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council have been committed for decades to creating and developing resources to address the intersecting issues of homelessness and health care. In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic brought challenges unlike any ever faced. People experiencing homelessness have been particularly vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Council moved quickly to create resources and collect guidance to help meet their needs.
This special issue of Council R&R is a compendium of resources developed between June 2020 and July 2021. The purpose of the compendium is to share issue briefs, policy briefs, guidelines, toolkits, recommendations, webinars, interactive discussions and other materials covering a variety of topics, with the majority of the resources relevant to support the needs of people experiencing homelessness during the pandemic. We hope health centers serving people experiencing homelessness and homeless service providers will use and implement the recommendations found in these resources to inform and assist you in your efforts to provide quality care and needed services to marginalized populations.
