Integrative healthcare studies junior Nevaeh Ashlock is one of only eight students selected for a prestigious summer opportunity with Medicine Pathways for Advancing Tribal Healthcare. This program will prime her to provide comprehensive healthcare for Indigenous and rural communities.

4. Serving the Community

Graduate student leads a small group activity in the Hurricane Aphasia Intensive

Students in the speech-language pathology program had the opportunity to assist with the Hurricane Aphasia Intensive this month. Hosted at the Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, this intensive immersion experience combines evidence-based speech-language therapy with meaningful, real-world activities that spark connection, confidence and communication in ways traditional clinical settings cannot.

5. The Mary K. Chapman Speech & Hearing Clinic offers support groups year-round for individuals with aphasia, cochlear implants and stuttering. Learn more on their website.
