Pait Invited to Present Dyslexia Research |
Dr. Arianne Pait, assistant professor of communication disorders and director of clinical services, is an invited speaker for the Arkansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association Summer Schools Conference. She will address the research being conducted through the ALLIANCE Lab for Dyslexia Research and Intervention. Her presentation will introduce a development plan for innovative technologies designed to support early dyslexia screening by analyzing students’ letter formation and handwriting characteristics.

| Nelson Receives Site Supervisor Award |
Devin Nelson, licensed professional counselor, Wilson Counseling Center, is the recipient of the 2026 Outstanding Site Supervisor Award. This student-nominated award highlights Nelson’s exceptional commitment to mentoring and supporting mental health counseling students in their professional growth, and notably influencing their professional development as counseling students during their clinical experiences.

Martinez to be Presenter and Panelist |
Dallas Martinez, assistant chair, theatre, and director, Fowler Center, will present at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) conference as part of sessions exploring imagination, community and audience engagement. Martinez will be a panelist for “Activating Imagination in Community” and as a presenter for “Co-creating Community: Imagining and Building Worlds with Audiences.” He will share how Southern speech, music, history and cultural identity can open new pathways for audiences to encounter Shakespeare.

| Wall Receives Catalyze Fellowship |
M. Robyn Wall, assistant professor of printmaking, is one of 25 Arkansas artists awarded a $10,000 practice-based fellowship through Catalyze, a program of the Mid-America Arts Alliance. Over the next year, Wall is presenting her work in a two-person exhibition, co-curating a traveling collection hosted at 10 venues, and developing paper-making facilities at her home studio. She also was a juror recently for the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council’s student exhibition.

Brinkley Presents AWARE Poster at Forum |
Christy Brinkley, director, Office of Behavioral Research and Evaluation (OBRE), presented a poster at the inaugural Forum on School Behavior and Mental Health, hosted by the Arkansas Center for School Mental Health in Fayetteville. The poster focused on the training events provided by the Arkansas AWARE project and the impact they are making among school staff, community members and students. OBRE serves as the evaluation team for the AWARE project.
