Kimberly Cook-Nelson and Entergy Staff Visit
|
This year’s Distinguished Alumni honoree for the Dr. Robert A. Savoie College of Engineering, Kimberley Cook-Nelson, stopped in to take a tour of the college with some colleagues from Entergy. Kimberly earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, a master's in engineering management and an MBA—all from UNO. In her current position as executive vice president of nuclear operations and chief nuclear officer for Entergy, she is a strong role model.

In addition, it recognizes that he has established a commendable academic reputation through publications, educational outreach and service.

| Civil Engineering Alumna Spotlighted in Face2Face Africa

Meagan Williams '12 was recently featured in a piece for Face2Face Africa. The article focused on how Williams' experience of Hurricane Katrina prompted her to study civil engineering in order to help prevent future flooding disasters in her community.
