A Word From Mr. Martin

Dear Parents,

Since school resumed from the summer break, I can say that I have been truly blessed and blessed in a way that was not expected. While a new HS Science teacher is being recruited, I have had the privilege of returning to my roots as a Science and Computing teacher. I really enjoy the daily interactions with the students and watching them learn and grow as children of God and this is one thing I miss in having a leadership role. Those moments when the light comes on and students ‘get’ a complicated topic makes all the patience and effort worth it.

Back to School Nights

All Life Christian Academy families are invited to join us for our upcoming Back to School Nights. These are wonderful opportunities to meet your child's teachers, learn about the culture of LCA, and find out how to get involved. We hope to see you there!

Senior parents are invited to a brief meeting at the end of Back to School Night on September 17th. Immediately following Back to School Night activities, we will meet in the library for about 15 minutes to share information about college applications and financial aid forms.

National Christian College Fair

Everyone is welcome at the National Christian College Fair! Join us in the KAC from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24th. Forty colleges from across the US and Canada have registered for a booth at this event. The fair also features a free financial aid workshop in our library from 6:30-7:30 pm. This event is open to the public, so please invite friends, neighbors, and your church family. Students can register and print their bar code at myblueprintstory.com. Bar codes help them share their contact information with college representatives.

Also, during the fall, LCA hosts individual college representatives during the school day. So far, we have visits planned from Central Washington University, Gonzaga University, Northwest University, Whitworth University, Northwest Christian University (Oregon), and Colorado Christian University. All interested students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend. Sign-up sheets are in the high school hall outside of Mrs. Claudio's room (#358). Come dressed for success and prepared with questions.

New Family Coffee

This is a great opportunity to meet other families, ask any questions you may have, and find out how you and your child can get involved. Are you a high school student interested in learning more about Audio, Video, and Lighting? Join us on September 19 during advisory to learn more about our new AVL Club! • Our first year of using FACTS, our new online tuition management company, is off to a great start! If you have any questions about your account, please reach out to the FACTS customer service center team first. They are able to answer most questions in just a few moments and are happy to offer assistance. The FACTS customer service phone number is 866.441.4637.

• Be sure to check out our LCA online stores often! Right now our Eagle Pride store is open until September 16 where you can find some great LCA gear! Our fall athletic store, featuring our new all sport Upper School warm up, will be opening soon!
