Contingency Planning for
Inclement Weather
As we head into winter, we like to review our contingency procedures in the event of cancellations or delays due to weather.
- Any weather-related delays or closings will be communicated via email, text alert, Twitter, and local news channels.
- In the event of a two-hour delay, classes will begin at 10:30 a.m.
- Any weather-related closings will be asynchronous learning days. On those days, students will receive assignments to complete at home via Google Classroom for each of their classes that would have met that day. We will always communicate asynchronous learning day expectations via email to students and parents when they come up.
- For cancellation information on athletic competitions and co-curriculars, please reference the Brebeuf Jesuit media outlets mentioned above, as well as www.brebeufathletics.org.
- Please note: Brebeuf Jesuit does not link its school closings to Pike Township Schools. If Brebeuf remains open and parents believe that travel conditions in their particular neighborhood are unsafe, parents should call the Dean’s Office at 317.524.7118 to report their student’s absence; in such cases, an excused absence will be given.
We hope this helps everyone know what to expect, but we also appreciate your flexibility in the event that things don't always go as planned.

De-Stress Fest
Our students got to enjoy another De-Stress Fest as a fun way to unwind before the end of the semester! There were therapy dogs, kitten visits, fun activities and crafts, and plenty of cookies and hot cocoa to help everyone mentally prepare for final exams. We'd like to give a very special thank you to all those who made it possible, especially the Counseling Office and the Mothers Association. We wish our students the best of luck with final exams!
📸: Thank you to Mrs. Stokes for the awesome photo!

congratulations, cameron todd!Junior Cross Country standout Cameron Todd competed in the Champs Footlocker Regional over Thanksgiving weekend, finishing 4th place and advancing to the National Finals in San Diego this past Saturday. There were four regional races with 13 states represented in the Midwest, and the top 10 from each regional were invited to the National Championship. The finals included the top 40 runners in the country.
Cameron ran a terrific race Saturday and placed 6th, which puts him as a 2nd Team High School All-American (1st team = top 5, 2nd team 6-10, and 3rd team 11-15), and he was the top junior in the Nation. This is an incredible accomplishment and best finish in Brebeuf Jesuit history. We are so fortunate to have the top Junior All-American runner in the United States.
Congratulations on your tremendous accomplishments, Cameron!

educational resources and donations for iranLayla McCanna '25 is raising awareness about the protests and violence occurring in Iran. Please see the resources she provided below to learn more.
Back in September, a woman named Mahsa Amini was arrested because of her “improper hijab” while on vacation with her family. Her family believes she was beaten by police after being arrested but received no explanation. She later died in police custody. This sparked nationwide protests in the streets of Iran revolting against the mandatory dress code that requires women, regardless of religious affiliation, to conceal their hair and necks with headscarves. However, these protests have been met with unimaginable violence. You may read Layla's full appeal here.

invitation to participate in ap capstone surveysStudents in AP Research have been tasked with conducting an in-depth investigation of topic of their choosing. To conduct this year-long investigation, students will be using research and inquiry methods to collect, synthesize, and analyze data that will culminate in an academic research paper. Some students have elected to give surveys to collect data on their topic and are asking for help from the Brebeuf community. Participation in these surveys will help students achieve desired sample sizes of their target populations and ultimately help give them the data necessary to complete their investigations.
The research and surveys listed here have gone through the Internal Review Board (IRB) and meet federal requirements for privacy and data destruction. Participation in any and all surveys and/or research is fully voluntary. Thank you!
