Best practices for branding approvals in eVA |
When submitting purchase requisitions in eVA, all items are reviewed by the branding team to ensure they meet brand standards. The team works to review the submission by one business day.
To ensure timely approval, please note: If you are purchasing promotional materials, giveaways, signage or other custom items, please attach the artwork for each item or a PDF of approval from the branding e-mail for reference. If purchases do not include the university name, logo or brand elements, please note that in the comments. REQs that do not have the requested attachments or notes will be rejected at the branding level and require resubmission.

Fiscal year-end reminders from the Office of Accounting Services |
The Radford University’s Office of Accounting Services would like to remind everyone about two important deadlines that are swiftly approaching for fiscal year-end processing.
|
- Thursday, May 15
Statements received in May for Small Purchase Charge Card (SPCC) and airfare purchased through Diversity Travel will be paid in the current fiscal year. After the May billing, statements received for these services will be paid with next fiscal year’s budget (FY26).
- Friday, June 6
To ensure payment for purchases will be charged against the current fiscal year (FY25) budget, receipt of goods and/or services by the department, receipt of the vendor’s invoice by Accounts Payable, and an eVA receiving report completed by the department must occur no later than June 6. This date applies to all vendor payments and Emburse (Chrome River) expense reports using E&G, auxiliary enterprises and grants/contracts funds.
|
Please make certain that invoices, Emburse (Chrome River) expense reports and other charges submitted have sufficient adjusted budget balances available. All vendors must be properly established in Banner and Cardinal, the state system, before an invoice can be paid. Invoices with July due dates submitted for payment by June 6 may be paid with the available current fiscal year’s (FY25) budget.

Important update from IT: New access request process launching May |

To ensure a smooth transition, Radford University’s Office of Information Technology Services is offering training sessions for both individual staff members who submit these requests and supervisors who will review and approve them.
Be sure to take advantage of this training before the new process goes live – no registration is necessary. All 30-minute sessions will be conducted via Zoom and will be held for submitters and supervisors/approvers on:

Calling for faculty-led study abroad program proposals |
The McGlothlin Center for Global Education and Engagement (MCGEE) invites study abroad, faculty-led proposals for the 2025-26 academic year. A faculty-led program is a great opportunity to lead a group of students in gaining international experience, enhancing their academic knowledge and developing cross-cultural understanding.
A few quick highlights:
|
- Opportunities are open to faculty from any academic department.
- Programs vary in length, typically ranging from a few weeks to a month.
- All expenses for the faculty leader are included in the student cost and thus do not affect an academic department’s budget.
-
MCGEE will collaborate with the faculty leader to secure all logistics and permits needed, if any.
- Students are eligible for scholarships available through MCGEE.

Important notes for Radford’s transition from PeopleAdmin to PageUp |
Radford University is transitioning from PeopleAdmin to PageUp for performance management and applicant tracking in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s contractual obligations. This transition will bring several important changes that the Office of Human Resources wants to make sure you are aware of. Please review the following key details:
|
- May 2: All Position Description updates should be completed and approved in PeopleAdmin.
Position Description updates can still be made in PeopleAdmin after May 2, but they will need to be resubmitted in PageUp after the go-live on June 3.
- May 3-June 3: Position description update/job advertisement pause.
Unless critically needed, delay updating position descriptions from May 3 to June 3. If feasible, postpone new job advertisements until June 3.
- June 3: PageUp Go Live for Applicant Tracking
All new job advertisements after this date will occur in PageUp. If feasible, postpone new job advertisements until June 3. Human Resources will re-enter open or unfilled positions and their applicants into PageUp. There may be a delay in the re-entry of all applicants for one week (June 10). Pooled or other positions that have been posted for more than six months will not be re-entered by HR. If these positions are still needed, a new request for advertisement must be submitted.
