Greetings Eagle Families! This week, we'll be highlighting how AU students can apply for accommodations through the Academic Support & Access Center, as well as how your student can apply for housing accommodations. We're also encouraging students to research if they will need to take a language placement exam or an AU math placement exam, depending on their school or major.
As a reminder, students are now able to choose their roommate(s) through the housing portal and receive their assigned timeslot for selecting their room. For more information on the Housing & Residence Life dates and deadlines, the previous weekly student newsletter is now available on the Orientation Website. This list will be updated over the course of the summer for your student to reference.

Hello there! As your students embark on their exciting journey into university life, we want to share with you one of the keys to their success here at AU: getting involved! Whether it's joining clubs and organizations, participating in club sports, volunteering, or pursuing hobbies that ignite their passion, these activities offer an incredible opportunity for your students to broaden their horizons and enhance their learning beyond the classroom.
Consider this: while lectures provide the foundation, it's through these extracurricular activities that your students can often apply that knowledge in real-world scenarios, develop essential skills like leadership and teamwork, and form lifelong friendships with peers who share their interests. So, we encourage you to support and encourage your students to explore the multitude of opportunities available to them. Let their college journey be filled with unforgettable experiences and personal growth as they dive into the vibrant tapestry of university life!
From our nest to yours,
Dayne Hutchinson, Ph.D.

Payment for the fall semester is due August 1. Your student must register for classes to generate a bill, which will be posted to the student’s Eagle Service Account. In order for families and other sponsors to view or pay the bill, your student must grant you proxy access. You’ll find a simple list of tuition and fees, instructions on how to view an itemized version of the student bill and payment options on the Student Accounts website.
