Then Head to The Island

After Prom will be full of karaoke, prizes, volleyball, casino, food and games. Please encourage your student to come! If you'd like to help, you can sign up to donate a prize for the night here.
On Tuesday, April 9 from 11:00am to 1:00pm the After Prom committee will sell tickets on the grassy quad near the Senior Lot. Students can enjoy yard games, corn hole, volleyball, spike ball and a Kona Ice truck, as well as have an opportunity to purchase After Prom tickets and sign up for volleyball brackets for competition the night of the event.
All students are welcome to participate, but any junior or senior that shows digital proof of purchase of their After Prom ticket will get a FREE Kona Ice.

Building Bridges

Earlier this month, Kaitlynn Derani, Izabelle Durbin, and Katie Carlson, coached by teacher Kelly Wagenaar, competed in the 2019 Colorado State High School Bridge Building Competition at the Denver Federal Center.
The annual Model Bridge Building Contest is a statewide program aimed at providing interaction and communication among practicing engineers, high school students, and other professionals.
Keep up the great work. The future looks bright!

Course Request Week Starts Tomorrow

From April 8-11, all returning students will submit their course requests for the 2019-2020 school year.
Students must be enrolled to request courses. Any student who has not fully completed the re-enrollment process will not be able to submit their requests.
If a student has a question about course decisions, freshmen students should talk with their 9th Grade Seminar Teacher. Sophomore and junior students can contact their Academic & College Counselor and also be in communication with their current teachers
You can find all the necessary information and documents here, or by clicking "Course Request Week" under the Quicklinks menu on the website.

Early Dismissal Friday

Friday is Prom-palooza! Students should arrive on campus as usual at 7:40am. We won't have class, but we will wrap up a fun week with a bunch of activities, including a Prom Pep Assembly, Halleway Concert, DJ Chasyn Dance Party, Mr. Eagle Pageant, Rough-n-Tough Playoff and plenty of snacks. Students will be dismissed early at 11:30am.

Spring Break Discovery Follow Up

Almost 300 Valor students served with Discovery over break. Thank you for your prayers and financial support of these teams! We are praising God for His protection and provision!
If your student served with Discovery this spring, they need to complete a trip assessment. These can be found by clicking on Experience Team Assignments after logging in at myvalor.govalor.com. Service hours will be distributed once assessments are submitted to Discovery.

ACT and Pre-ACT

All juniors are automatically registered to take the ACT on April 24 at Valor. However, there is paperwork that they will need to complete prior to the exam. If they were not able to complete this paperwork prior to Spring Break, they will need to contact Mr. Kosirog ASAP. This paperwork will take 15-20 minutes and must be done in order to take the ACT.
Sophomores will also be taking the Practice ACT on April 24. Freshmen and seniors do not need to report to school that day.
