The Laws Have Changed Regarding Backyard Cottages

Seattle City Council recently approved legislation that changes building requirements for accessory dwelling units (ADUs), better known as backyard cottages. There have been significant changes to previous laws regarding the number of units you were allowed to build on a single property. These changes range from parking restrictions to other significant hurdles that homeowners had to jump through when looking to add an ADU to their property.
