Dear Colleagues:
I’m honored to step into the role of Interim Vice President for Research and to have the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated and innovative research community.
Many of you may know me from my time as a professor and as Associate Dean for Research in the Cockrell School of Engineering, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting faculty across disciplines and advancing collaborative research initiatives. As an active researcher and faculty member, I understand both the challenges and opportunities involved in pursuing groundbreaking scholarship at a university of our scale and ambition.
I’m looking forward to serving you in this new role and to building on the strong foundation already in place. My focus during this interim period is to ensure that our research enterprise continues to thrive by strengthening support structures and amplifying the incredible work being done across campus. Please know that I’m here to support your efforts and to help foster an environment where research can flourish.
