I am excited to step into the role of President of the Nashville Academy of Medicine. For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of being an active part of our incredible community, witnessing the commitment to advancing healthcare. It’s an honor to serve in this role, following so many exceptional past leaders.
The Nashville Academy of Medicine has a legacy spanning over 200 years and consisting of 2,300+ passionate members. As we step into 2024, I'm excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
This year, our focus remains dedicated to enhancing the value and growth of our membership. We are dedicated to providing members with educational opportunities, peer-to-peer networking, leadership training and curating engaging professional events. Central to our mission for empowering members is advocacy for themselves and their patients. Advocating for healthcare policies that prioritize the well-being of those under our care and the physicians who serve them is vital to our healthcare system.
Additionally, we're committed to strengthening our community outreach efforts through the Medical Foundation of Nashville’s Project Access Nashville Specialty Care, ensuring our impact extends beyond our professional boundaries.
Your support and dedication have been instrumental in the Nashville Academy of Medicine’s success. I encourage you to continue to actively engage and share your thoughts and ideas as we collectively shape a fulfilling year together.
Sincerely,
Carl Willis, MD
