The Corporate Transparency Act is a federal law that requires any company registered with the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office (i.e., a PC, LLC) to report beneficial ownership information to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network before 1/1/2025.
In order to make physicians aware of this law, NAM is sharing TMA’s Law Guide on this law. Reporting is done electronically, is free, and should not take too much time. There are criminal and civil penalties for any entity that does not comply with this requirement. Any questions may be directed to legal@tnmed.org or 615-460-1645.
