Applicant Webinar Workshop for UK & Ireland Postgraduate Study Awards
Wednesday, July 18 from 5 p.m.-6 p.m., Online
LMU students and alumni applying for one or more of the following awards, are invited to attend this online, application workshop.

ONIF will troubleshoot application issues and concerns and provide tips and strategies for submitting a competitive application(s).
+Fulbright UK Partnership Awards- Candidates may undertake a graduate degree at the institutions listed in the UK Partnership Award category, as long their proposal falls within the parameters of the award.

+Fulbright Ireland Study Awards- Candidates may undertake a graduate degree at the institutions listed in the Ireland grant page, as long their proposal falls within the parameters of the award.

+Gates Cambridge Scholarships prestigious, highly competitive full-cost scholarships awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.

+Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom. Up to 41 Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study. Applicants have a minimum 3.7 cumulative GPA to apply.

+Mitchell Scholarships fund one academic year of postgraduate study in any discipline offered by institutions of higher learning in Ireland. 

+Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting outstanding all-round students at the University of Oxford, and providing transformative opportunities for exceptional individuals.

The ETA Program places Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETA’s help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. This fully-funded, prestigious program is open to students of all majors. ETAs also have the opportunity to engage in their host community.

We are looking for students who:
  • Are U.S. citizens
  • Will have received their bachelor’s degree before or by August 2019 (graduate students are eligible as well)
  • Have a recommended minimum GPA of 3.0
  • May have previous study abroad experience(s)
  • May have previous tutoring or teaching experience(s)

All or Multiple Disciplines
German International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS)- DEADLINE EXTENDED: July 31! Do you want to work in the German Parliament? If you come from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, France, Israel, North America or the Arab world, then you can use the International Parliamentary Scholarship of the Bundestag (IPS) for five months to follow the procedures in the German Bundestag. Must have completed your bachelor's degree before the start of the program.

Rhodes Scholarships- Campus Deadline: August 31. The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting outstanding all-round students at the University of Oxford, and providing transformative opportunities for exceptional individuals. Each year young students from around the globe are selected as Rhodes Scholars. Applicants must also be at least 18 but not yet 24 years of age (i.e., the applicant must still be 23 on October 1 in the year of application). Please contact ONIF ASAP, if interested in applying for the Fall 2019 academic year.

Interested in the foundations of economic inquiry? Apply to attend IHS's first graduate level discussion colloquium at Florida State University. Participant spaces are limited. The Institute for Humane Studies and Florida State University present this advanced, graduate-level discussion group. Students will explore ideas on the foundational elements of economic inquiry and review articles and readings penned by classical liberal thinkers. The pre-selected readings highlight and examine various schools of thought and different approaches to economics, while rooted in classical liberal ideas.

This event is free to attend and IHS will provide attendees with a $200 stipend for participating. Once you are registered you can apply for travel funding through the Hayek Fund.

*A participant honorarium will be provided, and travel scholarships will be open for application to all of those accepted into the program.
