Preparing Syllabi for March HLC Site Visit |
In advance of the HLC site visit, March 3-5, all syllabi must be uploaded to the repository by Monday, Feb. 3. During the HLC visit, reviewers will pull a sample of syllabi to assess compliance.
Per KU’s Syllabus Policy and federal regulations, all courses — except thesis, dissertation, practicum, and research hours — must have a syllabus on file. The Center for Teaching Excellence offers resources for developing syllabi, including sample language for policies, inclusivity statements and FAQs on KU’s Syllabus Policy. | Time to Review and Update Access to Controlled Campus Spaces |
As new faculty and staff arrive this semester, be sure they have electronic card access to the spaces they will be using. As KU transitions away from physical keys, more buildings will require electronic card access on weekends and between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays. Employees who need to access buildings and spaces during that time should be added to the access list.
To add someone to an access list, submit a service request through Maximo. If a KU ID card was issued before 2017, it may not have the technology to allow electronic access. A new card can be requested through the KU Card Center website.
Other helpful links include reporting a lost card, locations of doors with card access (in the menu select "card access outside doors" under "building features") and additional information about locks and access on campus.
