Dear Cathedral Family,
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year, Cathedral’s 105th year of educating the hearts and minds of our young people! This year, our rising seniors have chosen the Holy Cross Core Value of Family, one of the most popular values of our student body.
Learning is a life-long commitment because we live in a dynamic culture with ever-expanding avenues for innovation and connection. At Cathedral, we are enthusiastically committed to finding new and better ways to transform the hearts and minds of our students, and we're working hard to ensure this year is an even better experience for our Cathedral family. We have added several talented educators to our already dynamic team and are fully devoted to our mission, culture, and goals.
Growing demand for a Catholic education has enabled us to thoughtfully enroll families closely aligned with our mission. We are excited about the privilege of welcoming them to the Hill, where educators are devoted to each other and our greater purpose.
At Cathedral, we’re different. We aren’t satisfied with the status quo. That’s why we are willing to embrace the challenges of growing and changing. Doing things differently than we've always done and, at the same time, sustaining the distinctive close-knit family that makes us us is not easy. Walking this journey with people like you makes it absolutely worth it.
It’s hard to express my gratitude for you and your love for Cathedral High School. Together we are going to make this our best year yet. Please continue to pray for our students, families, educators, and dear old Cathedral.
See you soon on the Hill, and Go Irish!

PS: I'd like to give a "shout out" to rising seniors Oscar Kirch '24, William Neale 24, Quinn Brady '24, Ty Carroll 24, Ben Fox '24, and Danny O'Neil '24 for having the competence to see and the courage to act! They recently brought back the 11th Annual Ball So Hard basketball tournament. It is a three vs three hoops tourney that donated $1,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis. Oscar's older brothers, Robert ('16) and George ('18), started this a decade ago and have watched it grow. Several local schools were represented, and this year's winners were Robert Whelan '23, Andrew Trobridge '23, and Sammy Bridges '23 (yes, my kid). Hats off to the Kirch boys for bringing the community together for some good clean fun to benefit local charities! Go Irish!

Three Cheers for Camp Cathedral!
It was a fun-filled and successful summer of Athletic and Enrichment programming at Camp Cathedral! The campus was alive with 31 Sports Camps representing 16 varsity teams. We also had 54 Enrichment offerings ranging from STEM and communications camps to art and imagination workshops. More than 1,350 campers registered for nearly 2,000 camps. This was a very successful summer for our 85 summer offerings, and we were able to grow, laugh, and learn with our future Irish! Congratulations to Director of Camp Cathedral Summer Programs Anthony Ernst and his fabulous camp staff, many of whom are Cathedral graduates.
