iWeek Event Proposals

International Week 2024 will take place Friday, March 29th through Saturday, April 6th.

We are inviting RSOs to participate in one of our longest traditions on campus! We invite you to submit a proposal for a culture night, a fashion show, a festival, special craft nights, etc!

All event submissions will be included in the online iWeek calendar and will be shared via social media. We will do our best to include events in our printed materials (poster and postcards), however, space can be very limited.

TIMELINE

The Priority deadline for iWeek event submissions is November 17, 2023.
Any additional event submissions* must be completed by February 9, 2024

*If you are planning a large, late-night event, your group must request during the Priority Allocation deadline. We cannot guarantee available event support if you submit a later request.
RSOs will receive a request for confirmation of their space allocation on the week of Nov 27 - Dec 1.

Quick Reminders

RSOs will need to be aware of SFB deadlines and ensure they apply for funds accordingly: https://si.gmu.edu/sfb/

Space allocations will be made to your RSO through our committee following these steps:

Request the day, time and space (iWeek committee will review and allocate)
- Email will be sent to RSO with the allocated details
The RSO will need to confirm the space, day and time with iWeek Committee
iWeek committee releases the 25Live reservation to the RSO
The Office of University Events will email the RSO the 25Live details.
RSO will be responsible for all further event steps (including possible checklist meetings for large events, contracts, SFB requests, event services meetings, etc).
