Iona University Alumni Board Nominations Are Open! |
We are excited to announce the opening of nominations for the Alumni Association Board of Directors for 2025! This is your chance to get involved and help shape the future of our alumni community.

The Alumni Board exists to engage, connect, and benefit the Iona community.
Board Expectations:
• Attend quarterly Alumni Board meetings
• Participate in alumni events
• Contribute to fostering strong connection and engagement between the University and its graduates

| To nominate yourself or a fellow alum for an open board position, please complete the nomination form. Voting for new members will open in spring 2025 after nominations are reviewed.

Iona University recently hosted James P. Hynes '69, '01H for the Hynes Institute’s Distinguished Speaker Series. A proud Iona alumnus, Hynes shared inspiring stories from his Bronx roots as the child of Irish immigrants to his dynamic career spanning telecommunications, finance and entrepreneurship.

Iona University's LaPenta School of Business students capitalized on their proximity to New York City with several immersive site visits to industry-leading organizations, gaining real-world experience and networking with top professionals and alumni.

Recipients of the inaugural Piturro Shining Stars Scholarships proudly posed alongside benefactor Marlene Piturro, Ph.D. '82MBA during their pinning ceremony. The scholarship, which recognizes hardworking students in Iona University’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, reflects Dr. Piturro's commitment to supporting promising students who demonstrate a strong academic record, resilience in overcoming obstacles, and an inspiring determination to excel in the rigorous program.
Congratulations to these shining stars on this well-deserved recognition, as they continue their journey toward becoming the compassionate and skilled nurses of tomorrow.
