VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The global pandemic changed how we interact with one another and how we approach volunteer opportunities. Many organizations have pivoted away from in-person volunteering, but that does not make the virtual opportunities any less valuable to your development as a prehealth student!
Take a look at our list of over 100+ volunteer opportunities in the area. We will be updating this list throughout the semester, so be sure to check back often!
Below is an organization that has openings and can help you develop several competencies!
Chelsea Jewish Hospice and Palliative Care is currently seeking volunteers to provide patients and families with companionship at the end of life. Provide companionship through activities such as reading a book, holding a hand, or even just sitting quietly! 1-2 hours a week is all that is required! Free training provided.
They are also seeking volunteers to assist with administrative tasks in their Chelsea office. References, a background check, TB screening and other personnel file documents are required.
To apply, please contact Aimee Farrell, Volunteer Coordinator, at afarrell@chelseajewish.org or 617-889-0779.
