Join us on Tuesday, November 12, at 5:30–6:30 p.m. with Tufts Global Education and Dr. Xi Bi from Counseling and Mental Health Service (CMHS) to learn how to maintain your mental health and wellness during your time abroad! This will be virtual on Zoom.

Health, Safety, and Security Pre-Departure Session |
Join us on Wednesday, November 13, at 12 noon–1 p.m. for this session. Students studying abroad for the spring 2025 semester must attend one of two sessions on Health, Safety, and Security Abroad. (The second session will be held virtually on December 3). Tufts Global Operations will present on the global assistance and health insurance benefits and additional health, safety, and security topics.

First Steps Virtual Information Session |
Join Tufts Global Education staff virtually on Wednesday, November 13, at 12 noon–1 p.m. to learn about the first steps for studying abroad during the 2025–2026 academic year.

This session will take place Thursday, November 14, at 5:30–6:30 p.m. in Dowling Hall Room 745B. If you are first-generation and/or low-income, join the FIRST Center and the Tufts Global Education team to learn more about studying abroad on financial aid. Dinner will be provided!

| Navigating China's Impact in Africa |
We are excited to announce our next collaboration between Sub-Saharan African Research Group (SSARG) and SURGE, Sino-US Relations Group Engagement. We will be discussing China's impact on African nations as well as the global implications. Our discussion will be held on Thursday, November 14, at 7:30 pm. in SEC Room 212. We hope to see you all there! P.S. There may be food from Habesha Ethiopian restaurant.

Entering the Final Week of Majors Month and the Advising Period
Support for major exploration and declaration in Arts & Sciences and Engineering continues the week of November 12. View the full schedule of Majors Month events. Please remember to schedule an appointment with your Major Advisor, Pre-Major Advisor, or designated Senior Academic Advisor to plan for your spring 2025 courses and to have your Registration HOLD lifted. Spring 2025 courses are available to view on SIS. Familiarize yourself with upcoming registration dates and deadlines by visiting the Academic Calendar.
Tuesday, November 12, at 11:59 p.m. EST is the deadline to

- Withdraw from a course for sophomores, juniors, and seniors (receive a “W” on your transcript)

Wednesday, November 13, is Pre-Registration Day for Engineers
Be sure to check your enrollment appointments on SIS for your pre-registration time on November 13 and for your second spring 2025 enrollment by class year.
Do you have questions for your A&S, Engineering, or SMFA advising team? Students can stop by drop-in advising with any quick questions about advising, courses, or academic requirements.

Donations of winter coats, sweatshirts, gloves, mittens, hats, scarves, boots, and other winter attire being accepted now through Wednesday at the FIRST Center, Campus Center, and Dean of Students Office. Students interested in picking up donated winter clothing items are invited to Curtis Hall Multipurpose Room on Friday, November 15, at 11 a.m.
