The Office of Open Records Counsel (OORC) within the Comptroller's Office has released their report entitled Issues Surrounding Fees for the Inspection of Open Public Records.   The OORC developed online surveys for citizens and governmental entities and received 407 citizen and 253 government responses.  This report was completed due to a request from Senator Tracy and Representative McDaniel.  Click here to read the full report.   

The amount of money needed to address the list of new TDOT projects across the state is $5.3 billion - 765 projects located across the state in all 95 counties.  The Transportation Coaltion of Tennessee has released a list of all road projects by county in a printable PDF version.  Click here to visit the site and view the information.  
The Tennessee General Assembly has filed approximately 1,200 pieces of new legislation for this session.  Tennessee County Services Association is working to identify bills of importance to counties and county officials.  We will be sending updates on key legislation through the weekly publication Capitol Update.  If you are not currently receiving these weekly publications, please contact Jessica Himes at tcsa.himes@tncounties.org.
