Hello Community Partners,
July 7th was “World Child Protection Professionals Day.” As such, our feature article highlights the importance of this work and extends our gratitude to everyone working to protect children and strengthen families. And in our Notable Numbers section, I highlight some of the excellent work being done by our clinicians who provide the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention.
Additionally, I want to take this opportunity to honor you, our fellow Child Protection Professionals. The work you do day in and day out to serve children is often undervalued, but so very important.
Please remember that we here at the St. Louis Children's Advocacy Center are eager to provide free help for kids and families who have recently experienced a traumatic event. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or referrals you may have.

As a reminder, we now serve children ages 3-18 who have recently experienced trauma. We use the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) a brief therapy model typically lasting between 5-8 sessions. Clients are scheduled at their earliest convenience, usually within 12 days.

In the spirit of “World Child Protection Professionals Day,” I thought it would be fitting to highlight the excellent work our Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) clinicians have been doing. Back in October of 2023, we developed a dashboard to track our progress enrolling and serving families in Project CONTACT. Read the full article to see graphs and learn more.
