The Midwest Clinic is a major show-attendance of over 18,000 from every state & more than 40 countries. The exhibit hall is mammoth & there is an incredible array of concerts & events. As of now, the weather is looking mild for December. The conference is again housed at the McCormick Place Convention Center, a short ride from the heart of downtown Chicago.
The Jazz Education Network Conference-THE jazz "hang" of the year-returns to perhaps its best city, cradle of jazz New Orleans. The fourth visit to New Orleans should be another hopping event. While Midwest draws from every area of music performance & education, JEN is laser-focused on jazz. While it brings thousands of attendees, it is more of an intimate gathering. There will also be a very large, impressive lineup of performances & clinics.
