Dear Frist Art Museum community,

In this challenging time for our region and our country, we want to reassure you that we continue to monitor the best advice available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and other reliable sources regarding the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The chances of contracting the virus are still relatively remote, and the Frist Art Museum remains open with our normal schedule. We do want to take a moment, however, to let you know about the precautionary measures the Frist Preparedness Team began implementing last week, and to offer some general reminders as a form of sustained public awareness.

We have increased the cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces in our building, including door handles, audio guides, bathroom fixtures, countertops, and other high-touch areas.
Disinfectant wipes have been placed in all public areas, including the Grand Lobby, Martin ArtQuest, bathrooms, and café
Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed in restrooms, and additional ones will be placed in locations throughout the building in the days to come. In Martin ArtQuest, sanitizer dispensers are located by the sinks.
Signage has been placed to remind staff, volunteers, and guests about frequent and thorough hand washing.
We are asking any employee, volunteer, vendor, or guest with flu-like symptoms to remain at home and avoid public spaces
We urge you to take the normal precautions prescribed for navigating cold and flu season, including social distancing, adhering to coughing and sneezing etiquette, and proper hand washing.
We encourage everyone to remain calm and, as always, to make sure that any information you consume or share is from a reliable source.
