Dear Student,
One of the things our society needs most is for people to make connections with and learn from others with whom they disagree. It’s easy to live in a bubble formed by your social media ecosystem, to only read news publications that align with your ideas, and to maintain social connections with people who agree with you. Having the courage to talk about ideas with people you may or may not agree with, and to build connections even when you disagree, is a skill that can be learned and practiced—and one that will enrich your life.
Join us for the courageous conversation series, a weekly group discussion with other Tufts students who hold a variety of perspectives, experiences, and knowledge. Topics will be different each time, and you’ll develop elite level skills navigating conversations and also build connections in a community-oriented and intellectually invigorating environment. Dinner is provided weekly.
