After the Election
It is common for counting ballots and reporting results to unfold over days or weeks in some states, so full results likely won’t be known for some time.
As you follow the news during that period, be a thoughtful community member and a critical thinker. Rely on facts and credible sources; don’t amplify rumors or misinformation.
You can do your part to keep the conversation on campus collegial—share your views respectfully, listen carefully to thoughtful people who have differing views, and seek community and common ground wherever you can.
And remember that voting is just one way to be civically engaged! Stay connected with the communities and causes you care about beyond Election Day.
Yours in community,
Dean of Students Office
