Join a Virtual Conversation With the Honorable R. Guy Cole, Jr., A72

On Wednesday, December 1, at 5 p.m., the Tufts Lawyers Association (TLA) will host a virtual conversation with the Honorable R. Guy Cole, Jr., A72, United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Judge Cole was nominated by President Clinton and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate to a judgeship on the United State Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In August 2014, Judge Cole assumed the role of Chief Judge for the Sixth Circuit—becoming the first African American to hold that position since the court's formation in 1869. Judge Cole has authored hundreds of legal opinions, including landmark decisions on civil rights, criminal procedure, and the scope of the First Amendment.

Prof. Jonathan Kenny Memorial Lecture – Frontline Struggles: Environmental Health and Justice Communities

On Thursday, December 2, at noon, join a conversation with Stephen Lester, Science Director of the Center for Health, Environment & Justice. Beginning with the Love Canal story, the worst toxic chemical disaster in U.S. history, this presentation will discuss the strategies used by environmental health and justice communities to win their local struggles and how scientific information can be a powerful organizing tool for local community organizations.

Summer Orientation Coordinator 2022 Applications

Undergraduate Orientation has two full-time on-campus paid positions open for Summer 2022! Apply now to be a Summer Orientation Coordinator.
