NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 14, 2014)—Country music recording artist and inspirational talk radio show host, Rhonda Towns (Dawn Records) is pleased to announce her upcoming adventure. In the coming weeks, her itinerary takes her to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Accepting the personal invitation as a hand-selected guest, Towns will perform before members of the Papua New Guinea government and prominent business leaders at the 2014 Join The Tribe Ball to be held at the Gateway Hotel (Port Moresby) the evening of Friday, October 24; she will headline the corresponding benefit concert on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
“I am overwhelmed in this invitation; it is an incredible honor,” stated Towns. “The message and work of the PNG Tribal Foundation parallels my voice to be inspiring and encourage unity for all mankind. I am humbled to be a part of such an incredible foundation; this will be a lifetime experience.”
The 2014 Join The Tribe Ball was created with the objective to empower women and end gender-based violence--a poignant message that Towns works diligently to support and deliver in her music. Towns will also perform at a charity concert event benefiting the Hohola Youth Development Center--a school for disadvantaged youth. Hosted by the PNG Tribal Foundation and The Voice Inc., this inspiring benefit concert will be held at the Hohola Youth Development Centre Hall in Hohola on Saturday, October 25, 2014 with festivities commencing at 1:00PM.  Other performers include R&B singer Bianca Noka and Papua New Guinea’s own Fife Bay. Concert tickets are thirty kina each and are available through the PNG Tribal Foundation, The Voice Inc. and at Moresby Arts Theatre locations.
“One of the primary focuses of the Tribal Foundation is to empower women,” added GT Bustin, President, PNG Tribal Foundation. “Having a talented woman—in music and business—such as Rhonda Towns is a natural pairing for these events as she is a genuine representation of our message.”
The announcement of Towns’ journey to Papua New Guinea comes on the heels of her return to digital airwaves. Towns’ feel good radio show “Plenty More Love” re-launched October 4 on “Faith Talk 1360.” The program highlights charity and nonprofit organizations and features inspirational music performances by special guests from various formats.
