The work of Hossam Aboalela, CEOE doctoral candidate, titled "Effects of piezoelectric energy harvesting from a morphing flapping tail on its performance" was recently accepted for publication in the journal Applied Energy (Impact factor of 11.2).

CEMS undergraduate students Jennifer Gonzales-Pasion and Isabella Furrick (pictured) were both awarded prestigious Department of Energy (DOE) Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) for the upcoming summer 2024. These internships enable both students to pursue and expand their current research into nickel catalysts for hydrogen fuel cells by working onsite with experts at Sandia National Laboratories.
