Meet Dr. Kris Bliss, our new Associate Vice President for Student Success
We are excited to introduce Dr. Kris Bliss. She has joined Indiana Tech as our AVP of Student Success. Dr. Kris Bliss is an innovative thinker and problem solver who has been in the field of education for 30 years. Although originally from South Bend, Kris has lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and most recently Arizona. Kris received her Educational Doctorate from Northern Arizona University in Community College and Higher Education Leadership. Her research focused on risk-taking behavior and change as a result of COVID-19 and how community colleges could be reimagined. Kris identifies as a relational leader who understands the importance of connection and compassion for students as well as employees. She knows small things can make huge differences for people. In her spare time, Kris likes to bake, read, spend time with friends and family, and is looking forward to joining a crew team here in Fort Wayne to continue her rowing career.

1.I have a daughter who is a student at Arizona State University.
2.I picked up rowing in a desert.
3.I love to bake and will do a lot of it when stressed.
4.I am related to a famous General.
5.I have a dog, Roxie, and a cat, Candy Cane.
