| The OVPFA Faculty Reviews team is ready for the start of review cycles this academic year and is working on making processes more efficient and aligning our services to provide better support.
-
Faculty Reviews Mailbox: The OVPFA Faculty Reviews team has established a new shared mailbox, facultyreviews@uic.edu, for all inquiries related to various faculty review processes and annual evaluations of faculty. Most importantly, facultyreviews@uic.edu will replace uicpt@uic.edu, and that mailbox will be decommissioned on March 1, 2026. All faculty review and evaluation-related inquiries should be sent to the new shared mailbox.
-
Promotion and Tenure Reviews: The P&T 2025-26 review cycle at the university level is about to begin, and the first submission deadline for administrators/coordinators for Promotion & Tenure and Mid-Probationary Review related information will be on Monday, October 6. Review the P&T Calendar of Dates & Deadlines for details. Faculty may review the University Level Timeline for the review process.
-
Interfolio for Reviews: The work to implement Interfolio at UIC is underway with the goal of having the system ready to use for the AY 2026-27 P&T review cycle. The system will also be used for other faculty reviews and annual evaluations. The two Interfolio applications that will be implemented are Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) (demo video) and Review of Promotion and Tenure (RPT) (demo video). FAR will replace MyActivities as the faculty activity reporting system, and all existing data in MyActivities will be migrated into FAR. RPT will serve as an electronic workflow where external and internal reviews can be completed and the “case” moved to the next level of review. More information will be released as progress is made and when the system is ready to launch. Until that time, colleges should continue using the systems and processes in place for reviews and evaluations. We are excited to bring Interfolio to UIC, and to continue making the work of faculty and administrators more effective and efficient.
