Marine scientists from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, NOAA and other organizations seized the opportunity to study the historic 2020 Red Tide event and its impacts on marine life, both in the wild and in aquariums. At Poetry Slam, all are welcome to come express themselves or simply listen to original poetry in the spirit of Mental Health Awareness Month. Register early to be among the 10 performers who will present their own poetry at the event. Poets will be scored by members of the audience over the course of three rounds, with the final three poets receiving a prize.
