Hubert Goodale's Feminized Cockerels: Industrial Chicken Breeding, Sex Control, and the Queer Ecology of Endocrinology
On Thursday, December 8, at 12 noon–1 p.m., in the Curtis Hall Multipurpose Room, join us for a lecture with Gabriel Rosenberg, a historian whose research creatively combines the analysis of gender, sexuality, and the global food system. He'll dive into the importance of a multispecies and ecological approach to histories of human gender and sexuality and will disclose the animating and pervasive powers of affect, fantasy, and desire within the applied life sciences and the broader food system. Free pizza will be served.
