Parent and Family Weekend - Know Before You Go

Thank you for registering for the 2023 UofM Parent & Family Weekend! We are excited that you will be visiting and enjoying our beautiful campus and city.
We are sending this final email so that you have all of the pertinent information to get you prepared for your visit. Please save and reference this email for your reference. Check-In at the Welcome Center
When you arrive, you should plan on checking in at the Parent and Family Weekend Welcome Center, located in the University Center on the 3rd floor. At check-in you will receive all of your registration materials.
Starting Thursday 9/28 afternoon, the registration site will re-open for those who still need to register for the Go Tigers Go or Youth packages. You will also be able to purchase additional t-shirts (extremely limited supply) or game tickets. Lastly, new PFA members may pick up your welcome gift if you joined and elected Parent and Family Weekend or office pick up.
Welcome Center Hours:
- Thursday 9/28 (Early check-in): 4:30 pm - 6pm
- Friday 9/29: 9am - 6pm

Saturday 9/30 (Late Check-in): 8am - 10am
If you are unable to check-in, you should make arrangements for your student or other registered family member to come by and check-in on your behalf.
T-shirt Only - Please come to the Welcome Center during operating hours to pick up your t-shirt order.
Game Tickets Only - If you only purchased football tickets, you do NOT need to check-in. Game tickets are digitally disbursed. Please read the Game Day information in this email to prepare for game day.

Go Tigers Go Registrants
Your Go Tigers Go Package includes entry to all Parent and Family Weekend (PFW) activities. It also includes entry to PFW activities for your UofM student. You will receive a name badge and lanyard at check-in. You and your registered guests (including your student) are required to wear your name badge for access to all PFW events. We'll have a badge decoration station at check-in so you can make it your own!
UofM students can attend the football game for FREE with their student ID (they must claim a digital student ticket ahead of time for entry, and are required to sit in the designated student section). If you would like your student to sit with you in the PFW section, you will need to purchase a single game ticket for them using our link.

Parent and Family Weekend Schedule
We are excited to bring you an awesome schedule filled with fun and engaging events. Events are scheduled all day on Friday starting at 10am. If your student has class on Friday, feel free to attend PFW events on your own and have them join you before or after class.
On Saturday, the Parent and Family Tailgate and the Tiger Walk both begin at 12:30 pm, and the Tigers v. Boise State football game kicks off at 3:00 pm. We'll end the weekend with the Family Brunch on Sunday from 11:00 am - Noon.
You will receive a printed schedule when you check-in, but we encourage you to consult the ONLINE schedule for the most up-to-date information. We will post any changes there.

| Event Parking: Zach Curlin Parking Garage (PG2) |
For your convenience, the Zach Curlin parking garage (PG2) will have free parking all weekend, starting on Friday, Sept. 29 at 7:00 am.
We suggest that you park on the 3rd floor of the garage for direct access to the University Center pedestrian bridge that leads to the 2nd floor of the University Center.

(Updated) Expect sunny and hot conditions with high temps around 90 degrees and lows around 70 degrees.
Dress comfortably as several events are held outdoors. Don't forget the sunscreen!

| Parent and Family Weekend Passport |
At check-in, you will receive a passport for the weekend where you can collect stickers for the eligible events you attend. Collect six stickers to complete your passport. Present your completed passport at the Tiger Family Brunch on Sunday, October 1, and you will receive a University of Memphis branded gift (while supplies last)!

The Tigers v. Boise State football game kickoff time has officially been announced as 3:00 p.m. CST. Go Tigers, Go!

Accessing Your Game Ticket(s)
|
(Updated) You should have already received an email from FEVO with your game tickets. Prior to game day, we encourage you to add your tickets to your mobile phone wallet and the official Memphis Tigers App for quick and easy retrieval on game day.
Follow the steps below:

Download the Official Memphis Tigers app (Apple App Store | Google Play) and connect your Memphis Tigers ticket account

Use the same info from the FEVO confirmation email when you registered for Parent & Family Weekend
- Save your tickets and parking passes to your digital wallet (on your mobile phone)
- Pull up the tickets in your digital wallet and scan at the gate.

How to Enter the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium
|
Step 1: Before reaching the stadium, download your digital e-tickets to your mobile wallet. NO SCREENSHOTS OR PRINTED PDF TICKETS ARE ALLOWED.
Step 2: As you approach the stadium, take everything out of your pockets and carry in your hands for security wanding. Only bring approved clear bags and items into the stadium (see below).
Step 3: To enter the stadium, pull up your ticket in your mobile wallet or the app, proceed to the pedestal ticket scanner, and tap the back of your phone against the scanner.

| Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium Clear Bag Policy |
Please note that Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium has a strict clear bag policy.
Bags allowed include a clear tote that does not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”, a clear gallon-sized plastic storage bag, or a small clutch bag, about the size of a hand, with or without a strap or handles (No larger than 4.5” x 6.5”). The Parent & Family Weekend swag bag is a compliant clear bag!

| Football Game Parking & Shuttle |
CITY OF MEMPHIS - OFFSITE PARKING
Athletics does not sell individual game parking passes (season passes only).
If you wish to park your vehicle, the City of Memphis offers game day parking offsite at Tobey Park (2599 Avery) and the City of Memphis Surplus Lot at 2540 Avery (in overflow situations ONLY). The game day parking rate at Tobey Park and the City Surplus Lot is $20. Game day parking lots are card only.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
The City of Memphis also operates a Park and Ride shuttle service from the UofM campus to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. The service includes free parking (on the UofM campus) and round-trip shuttle service to and from the stadium for $10 per person. Cash or credit card payment is accepted.
Shuttle Pick-up/Drop-Off: Between the University of Memphis Holiday Inn and the School of Music (3800 Central Avenue).
Shuttle Service: Routes to the stadium begin four (4) hours prior to kickoff through 30 minutes after kickoff. Return trips are available at halftime, at the end of the third quarter and then continuously after the game concludes for one hour following the final whistle.
If riding the shuttle, please arrive early to allow enough time for game traffic and other delays to ensure you arrive at the events at the stadium on time. (For Go Tigers Go registrants, please note that the Family Tailgate and Tiger Walk starts at 12:30 pm).
**Items not allowed into the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will not be allowed on the shuttle buses.
