Dear College of Fine Arts Faculty, Staff and Students,
I want to thank everyone who was able to attend the strategic plan town halls this week. Your participation in the process was immensely helpful. We’ve come away with areas to consider and adjust in our draft while feeling affirmed that the work our subcommittees put into the pillars is aligning with your own vision for the college’s future.
I know there were many of you who were interested in attending the town halls but were not able to come due to various scheduling constraints. Know that these town halls were not the only opportunity for comment. In the coming weeks, I will convene with our steering committee to integrate your town hall feedback and ultimately release an updated draft. We will then post that draft to you all to solicit additional commentary.
I’ve come away from this week of town halls feeling inspired by the level of your care and investment in our college as witnessed through your insightful comments and questions. You are helping us shape what it means to be an artistic citizen within a college of the arts as we chart our course toward the future.
