The UMA Ellsworth Center is seeking a new Maintenance Worker, the hours for the position are flexible within the Center’s spring schedule, Come in to apply!
Mon – Tues 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Fri 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The duties for the position include
Janitorial (dusting, sweeping, recycling, sanitization etc.)
Building Maintenance (window washing, rearranging the center etc.)
Office Assistance (helping students, proctor and front desk coverage, etc.)

Classes will soon be starting up again, don't let the long break make you lose track of time. We are excited to see you all here at the Center!
Courses Begin: January 21st
Last Day to Drop for Refund: February 3rd
Spring Break: March 17 - 21st
Last Day to Drop with a W: March 27th

Thanks to everyone for all the participation within the Ellsworth Center! We had a lot of programs and events this last semester and they all went great.
Stay tuned to see what else we will be offering throughout this coming semester. Don't hesitate to reach out if you are interested in joining the student association, you'll have a say in what is going on and have leadership experience for your resume!

Make sure to come into the Center the week following the beginning of classes to get some gifts from our student association!
Here all week, starting on the 27th, will be special foods, UMA swag, hygiene, personal care items, and more. All to help you get through these spring classes!

For the semester gap the UMA Ellsworth Center will be shortening it's hours until classes begin again at the start of the Spring 2025 semester, January 21st.
Monday - Thursday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday
8:00 am - 4:00 pm

After the 21st: 8 - 7 pm Mon - Thu 8 - 4 pm Fri

Learn to make Dumplings for Chinese New Year on January 30th from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, hosted by the UMA Saco Center in their brand new location! If you are interested in learning, no need to drive, you may also choose to join the fun online.
UMA Saco Student Yiyang (Joyce) Jiang will be teaching just in time for the year of the snake, often seen as a symbol of transformation and adaptability. Joyce has adapted her childhood recipe for us to learn!

Submissions are still open for our UMA student led literary and art magazine the Spector Moose!
So if you write poetry, fiction, short stories, draw, paint, shoot photography, or have anything else you would like to share please feel free to submit before January 20th

The Ellsworth Center will be closed on January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Classes will start up the day after, enjoy the weekend and please let us know if you need any assistance!

Don't forget to check with the UMA bookstore to see whether or not courses you are taking require books. The sooner you order them the less you might miss!
You may also come to the Center to see if our internal library (or ones in Bangor and Augusta) might have a copy you can check out.
