We're Offering Online Retreats

Springwater Center will continue to offer its scheduled retreats online until the end of the year. If conditions change and it becomes possible to resume in person retreats or be open to welcome guests, we will let everyone know. The Calendar is in the process of being updated to reflect that all remaining retreats this year will be held online. Please know that we are looking at this continually and coming to decisions with caution and concern for the well being of all.

Many have participated in retreats and All Day Sittings via Zoom and have found this way of connecting to be fruitful. Here's what some have said:

There are two retreats coming up and we welcome your participation.

June 27-July 4 Seven Day Online retreat with Richard Witteman

Richard, who has led retreats at the Center since 2003, will facilitate this online retreat from his home in Gualala, CA.
Participants can attend the retreat for any number of days and can join at any time. Days attended need not be consecutive. Register for this retreat by clicking the Register button below, making sure that you select the June 27-July 4 retreat. A contribution of $25/member or $30/non member per day is requested. No one is turned away because of inability to contribute.

Registered participants will receive Zoom link access codes, a general schedule and instructions for signing up for individual meetings with Richard prior to the start of the retreat.

July 17-21 Four Day Online Retreat with Les Schaffer

Les worked for many years with Toni Packer and was encouraged by her to share the work of meditative inquiry with others. He's been leading retreats at Springwater for several years.

Participants can attend the retreat for any number of days and can join at any time. Days attended need not be consecutive. Register for this retreat by clicking the Register button below, making sure that you select the July 17-21 retreat.
A contribution of $25/member or $30/non member per day is requested. No one is turned away because of inability to contribute.

The Thursday morning sitting is followed by conversation and social time.

CARES Act Tax Advantages

Warm thanks to all who have recently donated to help keep the Center functioning. A reminder that donations to the Center may be eligible through the CARES Act for a new, above the line deduction of up to $300, while still taking the standard deduction.

There are online links giving information about tax deductions and the CARES Act, or consult a financial advisor or tax preparer.

Framing the garage with locally-sourced lumber

Garage Project

The garage is being framed and roofed with money available to date from donations specifically for the project. Staff with construction skills are enjoying being outdoors together creating this long-awaited building. The present goal is to protect the concrete slab and make the garage usable. A fund drive to finish the garage completely will take place at a later date.
