Member of the Month
Suzy KnoerleWe’re delighted to highlight our March Member of the Month, Suzy! Suzy began her fitness journey when she was fed up with her present physical condition. Her goals are to continue living a healthy lifestyle, continue losing weight, improve her overall energy levels and to keep exercise as a permanent part of her day-to-day routine. “My favorite workouts are the workouts designed by my Trainer, Judy [Lowrey],” she says.Â
Outside of the club, Suzy is very family-oriented and loves spending time with her dog, Kourtney. Suzy cites Judy Lowrey as her fitness inspiration, along with her sister (and fellow Active Wellness Center Napa member), Joanne.
Way to go, Suzy! We’re so happy to celebrate you as one of our awesome members.

Instructor Spotlight
Lizy Schmitz“Hello! I’m Lizy, a Swim Instructor with over 10 years of experience teaching water safety and instructing lessons to patrons of all ages. I look forward to giving back to the community the best way that I know how; water safety and learning to swim! I learned to swim at a very young age and I still remember having my swim lessons. I loved being in the pool and diving for rings. I never partook in sports growing up, but I always found myself attracted to the water. I joined a swim team when I reached high school and I fell in love. I began teaching lessons myself and I couldn’t stay away from the community it endured to me. I have truly been blessed to teach so many. I teach children, adults, special needs, and anything you’re willing to learn in the water. Water safety is so important, especially at a young age. I strive to teach all people the importance of keeping yourself safe while being around any body of water, while also having fun!”Â
If you would like to book swim lessons with Lizy, please reach out to her at lizy.schmitz@activewellnesscenter.com.
