Biology BISP 197: Gaining Hands-On Experience

Join us to learn about BISP 197 and how to gain hands on experience! BISP 197 provides biology lab research opportunities, in which students can bridge classroom theory through practical experience. BISP 197 promotes professional networking and allows students to develop professional and transferable skills. BISP 197 internships can revolve around topics such as neuropharmacology, CRISPR/CAS9 in immunology, computational bioinformatics, stem cells and human neurobiology, biochemistry to examine cell migration in cancer, and many more!

Med School Application: The Inside Scoop

It all begins with an application. Learn what's involved in medical school applications and determine when you should start applying. Guest speaker: Dr. Chris Armour, former UCSD Medical School admission committee member.

How much clinical experience is needed? Should you participate in job shadowing? Do I need to get involved in research? Get all your questions answered. Strongly recommended for 2nd and 3rd year students, but all are welcome. Seating is limited, arrive early.

Call for abstracts for the first-annual ISC Sustainability Research Symposium

Symposium Date: Thursday, May 30th
5:00PM-8:00PM | PC West Ballroom
The The ISC Sustainability Research Symposium will be  first ever, cross-disciplinary research symposium at UC San Diego to focus exclusively on issues related to sustainability.  From poster presentations to Green Labs outreach, the symposium will be packed full of oppurtunities for students and researchers to learn more about how to get involved in the sustainability community on campus and about current research efforts seeking to address issues like climate change, pollution, environmental degradation and more. For undergraduates conducting research in those areas, we are currently seeking student presenters for a judged poster presentation contest. Abstract submission will be open until May 9th at 11:59 pm, and prizes will be awarded for outstanding poster presentations at the event.
