INVESTING IN OUR PEOPLE
There's something special about celebrating people who never stop learning. This week, we recognized 17 Warm Hearth Village employees who received Warm Hearth Foundation scholarships to continue their education and professional growth.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, $25,000 in scholarships was awarded this year to employees across our community. Now in its sixth year, the program has invested $115,000 in the dedicated team members who care for our residents each and every day.
As President & CEO William Lester shared, "We strive to do everything we can to support our employees because we know they are the heart of our organization."
Congratulations to this year's scholarship recipients! We're proud of your dedication to learning, inspired by your commitment to excellence, and excited to see all you'll accomplish. And to our generous donors—thank you for investing in the people who make Warm Hearth Village such a special place.

WHAT IF SUMMER FEELS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR?
Summer is meant for family cookouts, vacations, gardening, and evenings on the porch. But sometimes, it's also when we begin to notice the little things.
Maybe recovering from an illness is taking longer than expected. Maybe the yard feels a little harder to manage. Maybe you've been putting off that eye, hearing, or dental appointment. Or maybe everyday tasks just aren't as easy as they used to be.
Here's the good news: asking for help doesn't mean giving up your independence—it often helps you keep it.
Whether you need skilled nursing after a hospital stay, therapy to regain strength, or a little extra support with everyday activities, Warm Hearth at Home is here to help you continue living safely and confidently where you want to be—at home.
If this summer feels a little different, you don't have to navigate it alone.

KEEP YOUR SUMMER PRODUCE FRESH
Nothing beats the taste of fresh summer produce! A few simple storage tricks can help your fruits and veggies stay fresher longer.
Don't wash too soon
Wait until you're ready to eat or cook. Extra moisture can lead to mold and spoilage.
Know what likes the counter
Tomatoes, peaches, and whole melons are happiest at room temperature until they're ripe.
Keep berries cozy
Store berries in the refrigerator, unwashed, in a container lined with a paper towel.
Treat herbs like a bouquet
Place basil, parsley, and cilantro in a jar with a little water to help them stay fresh longer.
Enjoy every bite of summer—and waste a little less along the way!
